The legend of Ika

"This isn't fake, is it?"

I shake my head, this was all too real. "RUN!" I start running the opposite way, completely forgetting I have wings.

But I stayed put.

I turned around. He wasn't following. "IKA COME ON!" I shouted.

"I wanna reason with them!!"

"Ika! They'll never stop! You're going to get trampled!"

"No I'm not, Eon!!"

"Ika! COME ON! You're going to die!"

I jolted past her, "Okay! I will!"

OOC: Yeah, it's a Warriors story ^^; Could you go to dA chat so we can talk easier? http://chat.deviantart.com/chat/DeathLake and is Ika running towards or away from the army? kinda hard to tell ^^;

OOC: Sorry, had to type fast. My brother was hurting me. He was running towards her, and then past her.

OOC: Ah okay.

My eyes widened as he suddenly ran past me. I looked behind me, he was already so far away! I turned and dashed off after him, hearing the cries of the army behind me getting louder and louder.

The pounding of my paws fell at ease in rhythm with my heart, which was beating at an extraordinary rate. I felt my claws dig deep into the Earth as they smashed down onto it, still keeping rhythm. My mind was wondering, thinking of everything that had just happened. Thinking of the army's faces... Eon's face.

I felt my heart race faster as Ika became only a speck in the distance. I could feel the earth vibrate beneath my paws as the army started to catch up to me. Completely oblivious to my wings, I ran onward, pushing myself to go faster. I could now hear the clanking of their armor and weapons, they were gaining on me!

A scent grew fainter, more vague as I went on. I turned, seeing only a black dot and ALOT of other dots. I knew what was happening. Eon was in trouble.
I sprang forward, leaping high into the air, and spread my wings out. It felt good, to get the blood racing through them. I flew towards her.

Would I be too late?

They were literally right behind me now. I could see the sweat on their faces, the rage in their eyes. Just now realizing I have wings, I spread them and take off. Before I get three yards off the ground, I feel pain coursing through my body. The lead warrior had grabbed my tail and pulled me down in a swift pull. I cried out for help. They got me.

"No!"

I charged the one who had my Eon. I bit down on it's forearm, an unguarded place. I wouldn't let them take her and torture her, that was my job.

OOC: You wants to torture meh?! XD


I opened my eyes to see Ika. The warrior released me, only to have another grab me. A group swung their swords at Ika, yelling in a foreign language. I growled, my eyes starting to glow red. I turned towards my attack, baring my fangs. I opened my jaws, letting out a burst of black fire. The warrior, not having his shield up, got hit directly in the face. He cried out in pain, releasing me. I growled as the others tried to grab me, flying up just out of their reach.

I laughed, entirely oblivious to their swinging swords, at the man who was shot in the face. For some odd reason, I couldn't keep a straight face...

I smiled at his laughter. Then took aim at another warrior, one who was close to hitting Ika. I smiled, charging a light blue orb in my mouth, before firing it at his face. It hit, his face turning into a block of ice. I couldn't help but laugh.

My breath turned cold as I laughed. Finding myself again and gathering my thoughts, I sliced into his face. I licked my bloodstained paws free of blood, my thirst grew. The only quenching thing was a dragon. How could I refuse?

I looked over at Ika, his eyes filled with hunger. I suddenly had a certain craving for blood. It had been years since I had a large amount... A little taste wouldn't hurt. I looked down at one of the soldiers, picking one out. I growled and kicked him over with my hind paws. He looked up at me in fear as I sank my fangs into his throat, tearing the flesh from his bones. Blood flooded into my mouth. I took flight again, barely dodging a swinging sword. Blood splattered my face and chest.

I bit down on my tongue, not caring about the pain. I couldn't. But I could. Which to choose. I growled ferociously at my self.

I looked over at Ika as if I had just woken up from a thousand year sleep. What had I just done? I wasn't a killer anymore! I just wasn't! But... my tongue thirsted for more. I shook my head. I would NOT follow in my father's pawsteps! I closed my eyes, trying to force out all thoughts of blood, but the taste still lingered in my mouth.

My instincts took over, adrenalin pulsing through my veins. I lunged towards her, out of sight, using the same strategy my father had. Hidden and flying forward at an incredible rate, I bit down on her neck. It. Tasted. Wonderful...

What had I become?
